I look out over the fog and sip the nasty but hot and invigorating pseudo coffee. It isn’t just the fog; I can feel it in my bones. This is the primordial cycle. The light yellows and fades. The plants wither. The fog rolls in. Winter is death, but fall is age and decay. Fall is the time for Howard Phillips Lovecraft, and as summer winds down, I feel the strong pull of the ancient ones.

Inevitable is a new board game that should be shipping in September, and I cannot wait. This game has just about every bit of geekery that I love rolled into it. Check out the trailer right here:

Deadline posted a rumor that Guillermo Del Toro’s next film will be At the Mountains of Madness with none other than James Cameron producing the movie as a 3D epic. I know this material, and I’m here to tell you, I don’t think this is a good idea.

Instead of small cramped booths, we are now in the land of tricked out mega-booths. Syfy is there; Marvel, DC, and Image are there. Lucasfilm battles with Hasbro, Mattel, and Lego for our attention. The middle of the floor is a cornucopia made from equal parts of wonder and cash.

Both Zombie Dice and Cthulhu Dice came in the mail last week, and we had the chance to try them out over the weekend.
