I look out over the fog and sip the nasty but hot and invigorating pseudo coffee. It isn’t just the fog; I can feel it in my bones. This is the primordial cycle. The light yellows and fades. The plants wither. The fog rolls in. Winter is death, but fall is age and decay. Fall is the time for Howard Phillips Lovecraft, and as summer winds down, I feel the strong pull of the ancient ones.

San Diego Comic Con rushes by in an stream of data, primary colors and joy. It can be hard to take in; it can even be hard to remember why you’re there to begin with.
